Gas doesn't run out. It leaks out.

An aircond is a sealed system. If the pressure is low, there's a hole somewhere. Top it up without finding the hole and you're paying again next month.

  • Cold for a while, then warmSlow leak. Pressure drops over weeks.
  • Ice on the copper pipeLow gas makes the coil freeze, then it drips.
  • Topped up last year, warm againThe leak was never fixed. Same joint, same loss.
  • Hissing near the outdoor unitUsually a flare joint or a cracked pipe.

Running on low gas overheats the compressor. That's the expensive part. Fix the leak, save the compressor.

Gauge reading showing low aircond gas pressure

Leak test first. Then gas.

Every gas visit starts with a pressure and leak check. What we find decides what you pay.

How it works

Four steps. Leak test before any gas goes in.

  1. Send the sticker

WhatsApp a photo of the outdoor unit label. It tells us the gas type.

  2. Pressure and leak test

Both sides checked, joints and coils tested for leaks.

  3. Top-up or fix

No leak: top-up, from RM80. Leak found: we show you and quote the repair.

  4. Cold air, then pay

Coil temperature checked with you before you pay.

Topped up by someone else recently and warm again? Tell us. That's a leak, and we'll go straight to finding it.

Questions about aircond gas

Short answers. WhatsApp us for anything else.

How much is an aircond gas top-up in Johor Bahru?

From RM80 per wall unit, leak test included. Cassette and ducted units are quoted from a photo. If we find a leak, the repair and regas is RM180 per unit.

How do I know if my aircond needs gas?

Cold at first then warm, ice on the copper pipe, or a unit that was topped up before and is warm again. We confirm with a pressure gauge, so you're not paying for gas you don't need.

Why do you test for leaks first?

Gas doesn't get used up. If it's low, it leaked. Topping up over a leak means you pay again in a few weeks, and running low overheats the compressor.

Which gas does my aircond use?

R22 on older units, R410A or R32 on newer ones. It's printed on the sticker on the outdoor unit. Send us a photo and we'll bring the right one.

Can you top up R22? I heard it's phased out.

We can still top up R22 units. Supply is tighter so it costs more than it used to, and we'll tell you if the unit is worth keeping on R22 or better replaced.

How long does a gas top-up take?

About 20 to 30 minutes per unit including the leak test. Leak repair takes longer, usually an hour or more, because we vacuum the system before regassing.

Do you top up cassette and ducted units?

Yes. They hold more gas so the price is higher than wall units. Send a photo of the unit and we'll quote before we come.

Low on gas? Send the sticker.

Photo of the outdoor unit label and we'll quote the top-up. Leak test included, from RM80 per unit.
